Lets Get Fresh

The Brief

‘Lets Get Fresh’ is a cleaning start-up based in Kent, specialising in Airbnb turnover services across Thanet, Canterbury, and East Kent. As a new business in a competitive local market, they wanted a website that would establish credibility from the get-go;  professional enough to win trust, approachable enough to reflect their personal service. The brief was wide open creatively, which is always a fun project to crack into. 

Research & Strategy

Before designing anything, I carried out competitor research across the Kent cleaning market  – analysing similar sites in Margate, Ramsgate, Canterbury, and Broadstairs. Most relied on generic templates with cluttered layouts, which gave Lets Get Fresh a clear opportunity to stand out through strong branding and a streamlined user experience. I wanted to give the website a foundation that could compete with the national giants, while still relating on a local scale. 

From Figma to Elementor

As always, the design stage started in Figma, where I developed the visual direction and page layouts before anything is built in code. This means the client sees and approves the design before development begins and we can discuss the direction. The bright, fresh colour palette of the existing logo paired with clean typography was an instant hit, something clean, distinctive and confident.

The site was built in WordPress using Elementor, giving the client an intuitive way to manage content going forward. The build prioritised fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and a clear path from landing on the site to making an enquiry. Unique icons, a condensed FAQ section, and scannable copy all help users find what they need quickly.

SEO Foundations

Every site I build includes foundation SEO as standard. For Lets Get Fresh, this covered keyword research targeting local Kent search terms, on-page optimisation (meta titles, descriptions, heading structure, alt text), Google Business Profile setup, and technical fundamentals like clean URLs, page speed, and schema markup. The initial focus was on visibility across Thanet and East Kent, with a plan to expand keyword depth as the business grows.

The Result

The finished site gives Lets Get Fresh a professional, memorable presence that stands out in the Kent cleaning market. Clear calls to action, an easy-to-navigate layout, and content that builds trust quickly. For a start-up, having a properly designed and optimised website from day one is the foundation everything else builds on.
